Pops

You are all probably aware that my Dad had a heart attack last week.
It was definitely scary and a wake up call to all of us. I don't even want to think about what we would do without him. So hopefully he and all of us with his genetics will take extra efforts to be healthy. That is not an experience we wish to go through again.
Fortunately his heart attack was minor and his heart should have no permanent damage but my dad now has to take medication for the rest of his life and be extremely careful with his diet, exercise and his stress levels.
If high blood pressure or heart disease runs in your family, if you are over weight, or if you are under a lot of stress- monitor your blood pressure and cholesterol. Hopefully if we can make some minor adjustments in our lifestyle now we can prevent heart disease and bad health in the future.
My dad got home on Sunday and is taking it easy (and not allowed to watch the Celtics games). He is bored to tears and is definitely mourning the loss of his best friends Ben,Jerry, and In N Out. Poor guy.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It was amazing to see all the support me and my family has. My dad is so loved by so many people and we are all very happy and lucky that he will make a full recovery.
Take care of yourself pops.

We thought of you when we heard the news. Such a scary thing to go through, I'm so glad it was only minor and that he is doing well.

Isn't that so true? Prevention is the KEY! It's not about just lookin' good, it's about our health. If that isn't motivation to stay healthy, I don't know what is! Love you!
